OTDR Launch Cable Box

OTDR Launch Cable is a specialized fiber optic cable used in conjunction with an Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) to test fiber optic networks. It connects the OTDR to the fiber link under test, allowing measurement of insertion loss and reflectance of the near-end connection. The launch cable helps eliminate dead zones in the OTDR trace, enabling accurate measurement of connector losses at the beginning of a fiber link. It is typically designed as a cable with lengths varying to suit different testing needs and can come with a variety of connector types for compatibility with different fiber optic systems. The cable is lightweight, easy to carry, and housed in a ruggedized box for protection and ease of use during fiber optic installation, inspection, and troubleshooting.
